Hi, I’m Katie Schultz, aka "Miss Metaverse," futurist, intuitive and content creator based in North Carolina. You may remember me from Awesome Future TV, know me through the tech and futurism communities, or The Future Now Show or The Futurists podcasts. Either way, welcome to my Metaverse.
As I always say, I didn't discover futurism, futurism found me. My journey began when I started a website dedicated to future trends and emerging subcultures which eventually led me to meeting a well known professional futurist who became my mentor.
In 2012, I started on my path as a professional futurist. I branded myself as Miss Metaverse® long before the Metaverse was a thing.
My journey began when I launched a passion project showcasing emerging technologies, high fashion/tech wear and publishing articles and newsletters covering the most interesting futurism related topics, from robots to Neural Interfaces or BCIs (brain computer interfaces). I worked on an early web-TV project called Awesome Future TV, where I interviewed engineers, founders and futurists from around the world.
This would soon lead to interviews in major publications, consulting, and speaking opportunities at conferences and events around the world. I started using my skills in media production to launch and build various futurism related brands, as well as hosting and producing several podcasts, streams and YouTube channels.
Being a futurist is not just a profession for me, I'd describe myself as more of a natural born forecaster. Foresight and expansive thinking are traits I've been gifted with since a young age. These abilities eventually carried over to trendspotting, forecasting and scenario planning.
Aside from futurism, my spiritual beliefs and never-ending fascination with exploring quantum physics, metaphysics and the nature of our reality. I've been on an eternal quest to seek answers to life's biggest questions.
I believe that bringing together science and spirituality can help bring humanity to its highest timeline. We are constantly co-creating the future every day with our dreams and actions.
Today, my work is not just about imaging a better world, but being a part of a global network on likeminded professionals determined to make a difference.
I’m writing my first book Dark Future, publishing in 2024/2025 and two more are currently in development.
When I'm not debating the future, I’m usually binge watching sci-fi movies and tv series, playing and streaming cyberpunk themed games, doomscrolling to gather signals on emerging trends and enjoying my favorite homemade Biscoff lattes.
